Still life ideas (LO1, LO2, LO3)

My ideas and inspiration for still life project.

Composition triangles

Triangles are a great way of grouping together three points of a photograph and organising them to portray a certain feeling such as stability, aggression, instability, etc. It’s not about having three clear lines joining up in the photo – that would be too obvious – but about grouping points of interest that will navigate viewer’s eyes.

Types of triangles:

Implied triangles are the most frequent shapes in imagery because they happen with any three prominent points.

Converging triangles

Unstable triangles

Interesting background

I created some still life images at home using only one off camera flash light. Later I will recreate one of them at a studio using professional lighting. Final editing has been done in Lightroom.

For all my images I used my camera Nikon Z6, prime lens 24-80mm f/2.8S.
